In order for fleet management to be carried out with quality, to save costs and increase the company’s productivity, the fleet manager must evaluate several indicators. But before analyzing them, you need to have good information in hand and for that, telemetry is primordial.
To reduce expenses and earn market share, a company that owns a fleet should invest in telemetry in order to have an efficient use of its assets. Through it, fleet managers have access to vehicle location information, how they are being used and whether employees are meeting the schedule.
In this Episode #2 of this Season 5, we talked with Luis Nobre, the president of Quatenus Tracking and Telemetry, about how telemetry helps in fleet management.
If the fleet manager isn’t assisted by telemetry, fleet management becomes a much more difficult task that is fragile to mistakes, generating costs and losses.

The benefits of telemetry in fleet management
Managing a fleet involves several aspects and one of them is cost reduction. If fleet management isn’t done with an advanced telemetry system, the manager cannot know what is generating unnecessary expenses and thus he cannot check which expenses are unnecessary.
The Quatenus telemetry assists the fleet manager in collecting informations related to vehicles and drivers. See below some of the costs that companies can reduce with Quatenus:
In addition to reducing costs, it is possible to identify the possible cause of a rollover of the fleet. The system informs the speed, time and location of the accident. It was through Quatenus that DR Engineering could verify that the rollover of one of the cars’ fleet was not caused by the driver’s high speed.
